Latest News: Bridgend Simultaneous 2010 - IM Richard Palliser will be in Bridgend for a lecture session and simultaneous chess exhibition. To book your place now or for further information email Andrew Trickey.
Bridgend Chess Club meet at the Bridgend Tennis & Bowls Club, Church Road, Bridgend, every Monday and Thursday at 7.00pm. New players are always welcome. We run various in-club competitions and also have five teams competing in the East Glamorgan Chess League.

If you like chess why not come along and make new friends, there's no age limit. Young or old all are welcome.

Down But Not Out
The website has been down for some time. In fact it is time that has been a factor here and not anything really technical.

A recent change of webhosts meant the website was going to be overhauled, but as soon as I started it time restraints meant I had to soon put it on hold.

Anyway, the resuscitation process has began and the fact that you have read this means you have seen the faint pulse that will soon be a strong beating heart of the Bridgend Chess Club website.

The Clive Trevelyan Tournament
Bridgend Chess Club's Ladder tournament continues to be popular among the club stalwarts and juniors. Members can challenge each other to matches with points awarded for the win, using a grade based handicap method. Click here for more information.

  Bridgend Simultaneous 2010

Bridgend Chess Club's now annual Simul & Lecture events continue in November 2010, when IM Richard Palliser is the next titled player to visit our humble chess club. As usual the Simul will take place on the last Sunday of the month, that is Sunday 28th November 2010. The start time will be announced shortly.
